Rumor has it that James Gunn cast Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent in Superman (2025) after seeing him play Angelo Ruggerio, a father and uncle, in Gotti (2018). His parenting in this scene in particular made Gunn decide on Vince.
